Forecast Summary

The potential for severe weather will continue into the daytime Tuesday in advance of an outflow boundary and cold front. A Slight Risk for severe weather exists across NW AR and SE OK. Damaging winds will be the main severe weather threat, with isolated large hail as well.

The severe weather threat will continue to shift south and east during the day Tuesday as an outflow and cold front moves through the region. Although some potential for storms will linger Tuesday night, the severe weather threat should end by mid afternoon.

A Marginal Risk for excessive rainfall extends across areas along and south of I-44 today. Rainfall amounts of a half to one inch should be common, with local totals in the 2 to 3 inch range possible.
