Heavy Rain in the Southeast and Portions of the Central Plains; Mountain Snow in the West

Scattered areas of heavy rain continue to produce isolated flash flooding across the coastlines of the central Gulf and Southeast. A lack of recent rains, well above normal temperatures and gusty southerly winds on Sunday will lead to limited fire weather concerns in parts of northeast Oklahoma to the south of Highway 412 and west of Highway 75. Take appropriate precautions to avoid in advertent fire starts, especially in areas of abnormally dry fuels.
Isolated to widely scattered storms are forecast Monday afternoon across northwest and west central Arkansas and far eastern Oklahoma.
Warm and windy conditions Sunday with limited fire weather concerns across portions of northeast Oklahoma. Low shower and thunderstorm chances return to the forecast Monday and continue into Tuesday. Aside from a brief relatively cooler period Tuesday and Wednesday, above average temps will be prevalent.
