Accumulating snow is expected to occur across the area, beginning in the Delta this morning and spreading southeastward during the daytime today. 2 to 3 inches of snow is possible across the Delta. A half to 2 inches is expected along and northwest of the Natchez Trace corridor with up to a half inch further southeast towards the Pine Belt. Prepare for slick roads due to snow-covered roads & bridges and difficult to dangerous travel across most of the region.
Hard freeze conditions and single digit wind chill values can be expected across the region, starting today and continuing through Thursday morning. Lows will generally fall well into the teens & highs will struggle to reach freezing, especially across the Arklamiss Delta where highs in the 20s are likely and some single digit lows cannot be ruled out. Take precautions now to prepare for this dangerous cold!
Light snow will impact the ArkLaMiss today with temperatures falling during the day behind an arctic cold front. Highs will likely not rise above freezing for most of the area. Please see additional graphics on our website for more information on the snowfall forecast.
