Weekend Showers and Thunderstorms Over the Southeast U.S.

A slow moving storm system over the northern Gulf Coast will continue periods of showers and thunderstorms over much of the Southeast U.S. through this weekend. A cold front will move through the Pacific Northwest today, making for a blustery day, before showers and isolated thunderstorms form early morning Sunday. While the bulk of precipitation is expected to remain over the mountains of central and eastern Oregon, some light showers could impact portions of the Basin and the foothills of the Blue Mountains. If thunderstorms occur, they are expected to remain over the Wallowas, northern Blues, and Strawberries.
