Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA

.DISCUSSION...

Surface high pressure will work its way into the region
overnight, which will lead to a relatively dry and quiet Sunday
across the region. By Monday morning, mid level remnants from
the current cut-off trough over the area look to start
interacting with moisture from current TD9. This will likely
bring periodic waves of isentropically forced showers to most
areas south of I-64 due to surface high pressure north of the
region over New York. Period bouts of light to moderate rainfall
for areas primarily south of I-64 looks possible through
Wednesday as moisture is pulled north from future Imelda. With
moisture expected to be moving into the area through the middle
of next week, expect a reduced fire weather concern areawide.
