Map of warnings & advisoriesBlizzard conditions continue to worsen this afternoon and persist through the night. Travel will be difficult to impossible on the open plains.

Northeast Wyoming and far western South Dakota

The snow will become heavy this afternoon and evening. Northwest winds will rapidly intensify with gusts over 60 mph causing blowing and drifting snow through Monday morning.

Southern South Dakota

A mixture of sleet and freezing rain will create ice on roads. Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon. Precipitation will change to snow tonight.

Wind chill readings will fall to -5F to -20F by Monday morning.

 

 

The combination of wind and snow will produce dangerous whiteout conditions. Do not attempt to travel during the blizzard!
