Heavy Rainfall Potential

Increasing winds have led to the issuance of a Small Craft Advisory for all of the Florida Keys coastal waters! Hazardous marine conditions will be present around the Florida Keys with winds increasing to 20-25 knots and seas in some areas exceeding 6 feet. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating small craft should stay in port until conditions improve. Get the latest marine forecast details at weather.gov/key/marine

The Weather Prediction Center has outlooked the Upper Florida Keys for a marginal risk (Level 1 out of 4) of excessive, flooding rainfall, from 8 AM Sunday to 8 AM Monday. There is a potential for heavy rainfall to result in minor flooding of streets, parking lots, and other poor-drainage areas in the Upper Florida Keys - including Islamorada, Tavernier, Key Largo and Ocean Reef, through Monday morning.
