A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for Anchorage until 10am this morning. Road conditions are already deteriorating in portions of the area due to icing from freezing rain. The worst conditions are in Eagle River, the Lower Hillside, and East Anchorage. Everyone venturing out this morning should exercise extreme caution.
Warming temperatures and diminishing precipitation later this morning will end the freezing rain threat. Partly cloudy skies, gusty winds, and high temperatures ranging from 40-45 degrees are expected this afternoon!
