Severe Thunderstorms in the Central U.S.; Heavy to Excessive Rainfall in the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians

Severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes are expected through Tuesday across parts of the central Plains and lower to mid Missouri Valley. Outdoor recreation activities and boating along the northern/western Gulf Coast and Prince William Sound area will be challenging Monday into Tuesday as a strong front moves into the Gulf.

Expect winds to peak Monday evening close to 50 knots (58 mph) in the western Gulf.

Heavy rainfall is also expected along the Gulf Coast with 1" - 3" of rain forecasted through Tuesday evening in coastal areas.
