Heavy rainfall capable of causing flash flooding will continue to impact Hawaii through Monday. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible in parts of Texas and the southern Plains and the Upper Great Lakes. Critical fire weather conditions return on Monday across most of the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. Grasses are still dry out there and with wind out of the southwest gusting to 30-40 mph, fires may spread quickly if any do start.

Warm and dry conditions are expected this week along with breezy winds most days. The breezy to gusty wind will allow for elevated to critical fire weather conditions to arise each day. There are small (20-30%) chances for storms across the east on Tuesday and Friday, but confidence is low at this time.
