Nor'Easter Continues to Bring Heavy Rain and Coastal Impacts; Nolo Continues to Impact Hawaii

The nor’easter will weaken tonight, easing beach conditions and coastal flooding, though locally heavy rain will continue in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and New England into Monday. Hurricane Nolo continues to bring strong winds and large waves to Hawaii, though heavy rain and flooding threats are diminishing as it moves away. As tropical moisture continues to stream into the region, several rounds of rain, some heavy at times, could bring at least a 40% chance for excessive rainfall and flash flooding to a large portion of the combined Panhandle. The heaviest rainfall rates will most likely occur Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.

As Hurricane Polo continues its journey, the future remnants of the storm look to bring rain to the area. An influx of tropical moisture will create the opportunity for multiple days of rain. While this graphic shows high rain chances over a large period of time, constant rain is not expected. It is more likely that this activity will be multiple rounds, as opposed to persistent rain. Flooding will be a concern over this timeframe, especially because the ground has previously been soaked from prior rain.
