...NOAA WEATHER RADIO TRANSMITTER NEAR MINOT TO EXPERIENCE NUMEROUS POWER INTERRUPTIONS INTO LATE NOVEMBER... Power to the transmitter will be turned off from time to time while a new communications tower is being constructed. The tower is expected to be finished by November 28th. If the power is off when a weather warning or weekly test is sent it would not pass through the transmitter site. Be sure to have alternate ways to receive emergency messages, like the National Weather Service web page at www.weather.gov/bis, through NWS social media, or through other local media outlets.
