Lingering Snow and Gusty Winds in the Southeast; Wet Weather Developing Across the Desert Southwest

A departing storm may continue to produce snow and gusty winds across portions of North Carolina through the morning commute on Friday. Later Friday and Saturday, a storm system is forecast to move into Southern California and the Desert Southwest with lower elevation rain and mountain snowfall. Severe Weather and Safety Training, called SKYWARN, is free and open to the public.

There is no need to register. Sessions will last an hour and forty-five minutes.

 

We'll have interaction with you on thunderstorm formation and storm hazards, flash floods,

lightning, tornadoes, hail and high wind. We'll tell you how to be prepared, and discuss storm
