Winter Weather Brings Dangerous Travel Conditions Across the Northern U.S.

Heavy lake effect snow will persist downwind of the Great Lakes through early Saturday. Snow squalls with heavy snow and gusty winds will create dangerous travel in the Interior Northeast due to low visibility and slippery roads. Severe Weather and Safety Training, called SKYWARN, is free and open to the public.

There is no need to register. Sessions will last an hour and a half. Bring the family! Bring a friend! 

 

We'll have interaction with you on thunderstorm formation and storm hazards, flash floods, lightning,

tornadoes, hail and high wind. We'll tell you how to be prepared, and discuss storm structure, storm

strength and Watches and Warnings. See some neat pictures and cool video and learn to be Weather-Ready!
