Tracking Weekend Storm Impacts

A storm and trailing cold front will continue to slowly move through the Gulf Coast and Southeast U.S. through this weekend with widespread rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. Severe Weather and Safety Training, called SKYWARN, is free and open to the public.

There is no need to register. Sessions will last an hour and a half. Bring the family! Bring a friend! 

 

We'll have interaction with you on thunderstorm formation and storm hazards, flash floods, lightning,

tornadoes, hail and high wind. We'll tell you how to be prepared, and discuss storm structure, storm

strength and Watches and Warnings. See some neat pictures and cool video and learn to be Weather-Ready!
