Another period of strong to severe storms is forecast for Late Tuesday afternoon into the early morning hours Wednesday. Isolated severe storms could form over parts of Llano and Burnet Counties as early as the late afternoon hours Tuesday. Then in the evening hours, a developing squall line is possible with storm focus shifting south into the rest of the Hill Country, Edwards Plateau, and the I-35 corridor areas near and north of Austin through late Tuesday night.
This June, there are roughly equal chances of above, below, or near normal rainfall. Odds are tilted towards warmer than normal weather. In an average June, rainfall totals for the month typically range between 2 to 4 inches for our area, with high temperatures averaging in the 90s and lows averaging in the 70s.
Sunny, warm, and breezy weather is expected for most of South-Central Texas on Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies. High temperatures are forecast to be nearing or just reaching 100°F along the Rio Grande, with low to mid 90s elsewhere. Isolated thunderstorms are possible over the Coastal Plains during the daytime hours and in the Hill Country close to and/or after sunset.
Isolated to scattered storm chances remain through Wednesday then the forecast turns hotter and drier from late week into the start of the weekend.
