Heat and Fire Weather Concerns in the West

Heat will build over the Intermountain West and the Southwest the next couple of days. Lightning from dry thunderstorms can create new fire starts and combined with gusty winds may cause a fire to rapidly grow in Oregon and northern California. Elevated fire weather conditions are also expected in the Great Basin. Flash flooding will be possible in Arizona and west Texas, especially in burn scars. Read More >

Tonight will be partly cloudy and seasonably warm. Low temperatures will be near normal in the lower to middle 70s. Winds will be a little breezy from the south to southeast.
Temperatures will be within a few degrees of average through July 4th. There are low chances of showers and thunderstorms each day for parts of our area. Hazy skies are possible as Saharan dust moves over our area.
