Expect temperatures in the 80s throughout south central Texas today.
Clear skies this evening will see patchy low clouds and fog by morning. Temperatures will fall into the 50s to around 60 by sunrise. Light south to southeast winds of 5 to 10 mph prevail.
Temperatures warm to well above average going into this weekend with highs near or at records on Friday and Saturday. Then, a cold frontal passage on Saturday night will bring breezy conditions on Sunday with significantly cooler, below average temperatures late this weekend into next week. Finally, a warming trend begins the middle of next week. No rain is expected.

Temperatures across South-Central Texas are forecast to near or exceed daily record highs Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. A strong cold front late Saturday or early Sunday will bring much cooler temperatures, with dry and blustery weather expected Sunday. Conditions Sunday may be favorable to the spread of wildfires. By Monday and Tuesday, the coolest temperatures behind the front are expected to settle across the region, bringing lows in the 30s and 40s with possible light freezes in rural areas and valleys.
