The tornado that hit Fulton and Fayette counties on January 2, 2006 was rated F2 on the Fujita intensity scale. Images of the storm and examples of the damage that occurred are shown below. (A field survey was conducted by representatives of the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City, Georgia.)
