Near normal temperatures are expected today and tomorrow with highs mainly in the mid-upper 90s. Some areas across the Brazos Valley and East Texas may see some isolated showers/storms this afternoon. Another round of isolated to scattered activity is expected tomorrow (Monday). Best chances will be across the southeast.
Isolated to scattered storms are forecast every day this week, but mainly Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Severe weather is not expected, but any storm may carry a threat for brief heavy rain and strong winds. Temperatures will be near to slightly below normal for much of the next week with highs in the 90s.
How have we been doing so far this summer? Looking at the high temperatures from June through August 9; DFW has only seen 15 days above normal, compared to 19 days below normal and 36 days near normal. For Waco, the total is: 13 days above normal, 37 days below normal, and 19 days near normal. There are still a few weeks left... but we could say that this summer hasn't been too bad compared to previous years!
