Last Map Update: Mon, Dec 29, 2025 at 9:00:14 am CST

Gusty north winds up to 30 mph and humidity values dropping into the 20-30% range will result in a day of elevated fire threat across much of North and Central Texas. Conditions will begin to improve after sunset as winds die down, temperatures fall and humidity increases.
Our cold shot will be short-lived, as temperatures will climb once again throughout the week this week. Tuesday will be near or just below average with highs in the low 50s. Then we enter another stretch of above average temperatures with highs climbing into the 60s and 70s. North and Central Texas will continue to remain dry, as there are no meaningful rain chances for the region for at least the next week.
