Any patchy fog that develops from overnight should dissipate by mid-morning today, with highs climbing into the 70s this afternoon. Tuesday will be warmer and breezy with southerly wind gusts around 15 to 25 mph. Locations out west will climb into the 80s as relative humidity drops to less than 30%, resulting in an elevated fire threat.
Low afternoon humidity and above normal temperatures will result in an elevated fire threat, even with lighter wind speeds on Wednesday and Thursday. Relative humidity wil drop to 15 to 30 percent for areas near and west of I-35. Avoid outdoor burning! Highs will climb into the mid 70s to low 80s both days.
This week will be warm and rain-free with highs in the 70s and 80s, roughly 10 to 20 degrees above normal for mid-late February. An elevated fire weather threat will materialize Tuesday across our northwest counties, and Wednesday and Thursday for areas near/west of I-35. Low rain chances will return to areas generally east of I-35 Friday through the weekend with slightly cooler weather expected.
