A Wind Advisory is in effect for much of North and Central Texas along and west of I-35 from 1 pm this afternoon through 10 pm this evening. North winds behind a cold front at 20 mph to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Make sure to secure lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around. Take extra caution if driving high profile vehicles.
Much cooler conditions are expected tonight behind a strong cold front. Temperatures will drop to the 30s and 40s with breezy north winds. Winds will relax some tomorrow under plenty of sunshine and dry weather. Highs will stay in the 60s region wide.
A warming trend will begin Friday into the weekend. Expect highs ranging from the mid-upper 70s to near 90. A strong cold front will move through the region late Sunday, which will bring much cooler conditions next Monday. Expect high temperatures on Monday to be in the 50s and 60s.
