Strong to severe thunderstorms will continue this evening from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys/southern Appalachians. northern mountains tonight, otherwise conditions will be dry. 
Relative humidities will begin to drop to critical levels 
around the Four Corners, then spread northward this weekend. Hot, 
dry, windy conditions return next week as temperatures surge well 
above average. Widespread critical fire weather develops next 
week.
