A slow moving front extending from the Great Lakes region into the Plains will bring snow, wintry mix, and ice accumulation north of the front from the Upper Midwest into New England, and severe weather and heavy rain south of the front. through the coming week with cooler temperatures and increasing
precipitation chances as the pattern shifts from hot, dry and
windy to cooler and unsettled. Valley rain and mountain snow are
likely this evening through Wednesday and again late Thursday 
into Friday as a series of systems move across the area. Critical
fire weather conditions are not expected the rest of this week.
