Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall from the High Plains to the Ohio Valley; Heat Continuing in the Central Plains and Southeast

A stationary front will be the focus for daily showers and thunderstorms capable of widely scattered flash flooding and severe weather from the High Plains to the Ohio Valley. Monsoonal thunderstorms could cause local flash flooding across the Southwest and the Great Basin. Dangerous heat continues across the Central Plains and Southeast. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line.  This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
