Severe Thunderstorm and Excessive Rainfall Potential for the Central U.S. Today

Severe thunderstorms with a threat for large hail, isolated damaging winds and possibly a tornado are expected in parts of eastern Colorado today from mid afternoon to early evening. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
