Areas of Severe Thunderstorms and Heat This Weekend

Severe thunderstorms today may produce damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flooding over parts of the Plains into the Missouri Valley. On Sunday, scattered severe thunderstorms capable of damaging wind gusts are expected across the Mid-Atlantic vicinity. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
