Surf Zone Forecast for Hawaii
National Weather Service Honolulu HI
856 AM HST Tue Feb 3 2026
.DISCUSSION...
Surf along exposed north- and west-facing shores is rapidly building
this morning, and will easily exceed warning levels today through
Wednesday. Overwash onto vulnerable low-lying roadways and properties
is likely. Heights should lower to advisory levels by Thursday, with
the downward trend continuing into Friday. A fresh northwest swell is
expected late Friday into the weekend that could drive surf heights
back toward the warning levels for exposed shores. Additionally,
strong northeast winds associated with a cold front expected this
weekend will lead to rough surf along east facing shores this weekend.
