National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Near-critical fire weather conditions are in store once again this afternoon and early evening across southeast New Mexico, eastern Culberson County Plains, and the Guadalupe/Delaware Mountains. Any kind of outdoor burning activities are discouraged.
Mostly quiet weather expected Wednesday and Thursday before we see our next storm system on Friday. Strong winds and very dry conditions bring critical fire weather concerns mainly over southeast New Mexico Friday afternoon. A cold front Friday night increases rain/storm chances over the eastern half of the area and sends cooler weather for the weekend.
Join us this Thursday, April 16th at 6:30PM CDT/5:30PM MDT for our first of two virtual classes. You can register at the link or the QR code in the flyer. We hope to see you there!
