A lingering cold front over the Florida Straits to keep regenerating showers over the Florida Keys waters tonight and tomorrow. Highest likelihood for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over the Keys tonight as the front lifts northward. High confidence in a drying trend late in the week while high pressure builds over the west Atlantic.

Today... Highs in the lower to mid 80s. North to northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Mostly cloudy, becoming partly sunny. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Today... Gentle to moderate north breezes, becoming north to northeast. Seas: Bay/Gulfside 1-2 ft; Hawk channel, around 1 ft; West of Cosgrove shoal, 2-3 ft; Florida Straits, 2-3 ft; Except off of the Upper Keys, 2-3 ft, building to 3 to 4 ft due to a northerly swell; Southeast Gulf, 2-3 ft. Bay/nearshore waters a light chop, becoming a light to moderate chop. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
