The National Hurricane Center is continuing to monitor a disturbance currently over northeastern Mexico, and formation chances have increased as of this afternoon. This unsettled weather is expected to emerge over the NW Gulf waters late Tuesday or Wednesday with a medium chance of formation. OF NOTE, regardless of tropical cyclone formation, this may lead to periods of intense and heavy rainfall creating flash flood conditions, coastal flooding, and gusty winds along portions of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Anyone with interests along the Gulf Coast in these states are encouraged to monitor forecasts from both the National Hurricane Center as well as National Weather Service Forecast Offices in the aforementioned states.
