Showers, along with a few strong to severe thunderstorms, are expected from the Great Lakes, New England and southward into the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. In the wake of this system, a stronger storm is expected to track from the Pacific Northwest, Plains and through the Eastern U.S. this weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) Office in North Platte is excited to announce one additional storm spotter training session for the 2022 spotter season. This FREE training session is being offered in collaboration with our friends at the Niobrara National Scenic River (National Park Service) and Cherry County Emergency Management. All interested spotters are welcome to attend. Topics that will be covered are:
