Prolonged Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest; Snow and High Winds from the Upper Midwest into the Northeast

A prolonged atmospheric river will continue to impact the Pacific Northwest into the Northern Rockies with heavy rainfall, areas of urban and river flooding, landslides, heavy mountain snow, and gusty winds into Thursday. End of Frost/Freeze Products Until Spring 2019

NWS North Platte will no longer issue frost and freeze products as of October 11, 2018 for the remainder of the cold season. The growing season has come to an end across much of the area with lows this morning in the 20s across western and north central Nebraska.

Frost and freeze headlines are defined as frost advisories, freeze watches, and freeze warnings. Frost and freeze products will be issued again at the start of the next growing season in the spring of 2019.
