Thunderstorms will develop again this afternoon in response to a weak area of low pressure in the central gulf. The gulf low will keep precipitation chances above normal through Sunday. Cloud cover and precipitation will keep afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s through early next week.
A warm, moist air mass will allow for numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop over the region this afternoon and evening. Any of these storms will be capable of high rainfall rates, which could lead to a few areas of nuisance street flooding.
Torrential downpours will be possible with showers and thunderstorms this weekend creating a low risk for flash flooding. Short duration nuisance street flooding is most likely.

Wind and wave conditions will be hazardous for small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these conditions.
A Small Craft Advisory will be in effect from this afternoon until Friday morning. A weak area of low pressure in the gulf will produce wind gusts up to 25 knots are expected along with seas of 4-8 feet. In addition to these conditions, showers and thunderstorms will continue across the coastal waters and near shore lakes and bays today. Additional storms are expected each day through the weekend.
