MAY IN HARRISON WAS OVER TWO DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE, AND THIS WAS
LARGELY DUE TO THE COOL AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURES. AVERAGE HIGHS
WERE THE COLDEST IN 40 YEARS, AND THIS MADE FOR ONE OF THE COLDEST
MAYS ON RECORD. RAINFALL WAS DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE MONTH, WITH
THE WETTEST PERIOD DURING THE THIRD AND FOURTH WEEK. EVEN SO, IT WAS
THE DRIEST MAY IN TWO YEARS.

.MONTHLY AVERAGES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE COLDEST SINCE 1981 AND THE 6TH
COLDEST ON RECORD. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS EXACTLY THE SAME
AS 2020. THE AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE WAS THE COLDEST SINCE 1990,
AND THE 11TH COLDEST ON RECORD.

.DAILY TEMPERATURES...
DAILY TEMPERATURES WERE BELOW AVERAGE ON 16 DAYS, AVERAGE ON FIVE
DAYS, AND ABOVE AVERAGE ON TEN DAYS.

FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW, THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE
90 DEGREES. THERE WERE 14 DAYS WITH LOWS COLDER THAN 50 DEGREES,
WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE 1967.
