Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Central Plains and Midwest; Heavy Rain and Flooding Concerns in the Southern Plains This Weekend

Strong thunderstorms are forecast across parts of the Central Plains and Midwest through Friday morning, with damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the primary threats. On May 2, 1997, Chevron Pipeline - Midland 4 ENE received the 50-Year Institutional Award. Mr. Ike Terrell, observer, received the award from Mr. Ray Fagen our MIC and Mr. John Frazar, HMT.

Several of Chevron Pipeline's operators/observers attended this ceremony. Cake, punch, and cookies brought a super end to this special event.

Chevron Pipeline has taken precipitation and temperature observations in east Midland for 50 years! We presented Chevron Pipeline a 25-Year Institutional Award in 1972!
