The long stretch of dry weather and an easterly breeze continues for SoFlo, keeping things quiet on land but turbulent in the water as a high risk of rip currents continues.

The National Weather Service in Miami will be conducting a required update to their computer system starting tomorrow (April 29th) through approx. Thursday (May 1st). All NOAA Weather Radio transmitters maintained by NWS Miami will be off air through the time of the install. The update will NOT impact core services.
Updates to the forecasting phone line will be unavailable during the upgrade. However, most items will be available on our website http://weather.gov/mfl and public line (305) 229-4522 to speak to forecasters.
