King Tides: Coastal Flooding Possible This Weekend
Hazardous marine conditions will continue through Sunday. A high risk of rip currents is in effect for all Atlantic beaches. Hazardous surf conditions will diminish into the evening for the Palm Beaches, with surf heights ranging from 4 to 6 FT. A Small Craft Advisory is still in effect for Palm Beach Waters. If in doubt, don't go out!
Continued periods of coastal flooding forecast during and around high tide this weekend. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect due to moderate coastal flooding expected along the Broward and Palm Beach Coast, while minor coastal flooding is expected for Miami-Dade coast. Low-lying coastal areas may be especially impacted with continued saltwater flooding within 1.5 to 2 hours of high tide. Do not drive or walk through saltwater flooding!
Along the East Atlantic Coast, high tides will be elevated through this weekend and potentially into next week. Saltwater coastal flooding is possible, particularly for low-lying, poor drainage coastal areas. Do not walk or drive through saltwater flooding! Turn around and don't drown!
