Well above normal temperatures are forecast to shift from the northern Plains through the Northeast U.S. over the long holiday weekend. A few strong to severe thunderstorm will be possible as well along with a potential for excessive rainfall. THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE OMAHA
PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT.

THE OMAHA PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT REPORTS THAT FIVE SIRENS IN 
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA HAD SOUNDED FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE
AROUND 730 AM. OPPD ADVISES THAT THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT 
CALHOUN STATION.

THE INADVERTENT SOUNDING IS THE RESULT OF A TESTING ERROR.

THE TEST WAS CANCELED.  

WE REPEAT OPPD ADVISES THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT CALHOUN STATION 
AND THE PUBLIC SHOULD DISREGARD THE INADVERTENT SIREN SOUNDING IN
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA.
