A slow moving front will produce a threat for heavy rainfall and severe weather from New Mexico into the western High Plains through the weekend. Heavy rainfall is also expected this weekend in South Florida. THE OMAHA PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT REPORTS THAT FIVE SIRENS IN POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA HAD SOUNDED FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE AROUND 730 AM. OPPD ADVISES THAT THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT CALHOUN STATION. THE INADVERTENT SOUNDING IS THE RESULT OF A TESTING ERROR. THE TEST WAS CANCELED. WE REPEAT OPPD ADVISES THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT CALHOUN STATION AND THE PUBLIC SHOULD DISREGARD THE INADVERTENT SIREN SOUNDING IN POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA. $$
