Severe weather and flooding threats will continue for portions of the central U.S. over the next couple of days, with multiple rounds of thunderstorms expected. Dangerous heat will persist across the southern and western U.S. through mid-week. THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE OMAHA
PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT.

THE OMAHA PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT REPORTS THAT FIVE SIRENS IN 
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA HAD SOUNDED FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE
AROUND 730 AM. OPPD ADVISES THAT THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT 
CALHOUN STATION.

THE INADVERTENT SOUNDING IS THE RESULT OF A TESTING ERROR.

THE TEST WAS CANCELED.  

WE REPEAT OPPD ADVISES THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT CALHOUN STATION 
AND THE PUBLIC SHOULD DISREGARD THE INADVERTENT SIREN SOUNDING IN
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA.
