Showers and Storms in the East; Dangerously Hot and Dry in the West

A front will bring scattered showers and storms to portions of the Central and Eastern US. Severe storms are expected in parts of the Great Plains and Ozarks today. Meanwhile, dangerous heat will intensify across the Desert Southwest and Intermountain West. Record River Flooding

March 13th - March 23rd 2019

Heavy rainfall over frozen soil and rapid snow melt led to record river levels across several states. The map below shows the river gauges that had record crests during the March 13th - March 23rd time period. Each point is clickable and contains the new record information as well as flooding images at some sites.
