The May 2015 climate summaries for Big Piney, Buffalo, Casper, Greybull, Lake Yellowstone, Lander, Riverton, Rock Springs, and Worland are now available online. Overall, May was cooler than average across most sites, and much wetter than average. Most sites, other than Big Piney (slightly warmer than average) and Lake Yellowstone (2nd warmest May on record), reported cooler than average temperatures for the month of May. Three sites even saw Top 10 coldest Mays. These sites were: Buffalo (4th coldest), Riverton (4th coldest), and Worland (9th coldest). The big story during May 2015 was the well above average precipitation reported. All sites experienced precipitation numbers at least in the Top 10 for wettest Mays. Buffalo, Lake Yellowstone, Lander, Riverton, and Rock Springs even received enough precipitation to be in the Top 5 for wettest Mays See the links below for details for individual sites or click here for Water Year Precipitation summaries for more locations.
