Snowfall Amounts:

The heaviest snow fell in portions of Fremont, Hot Springs, Sweetwater and Johnson counties. Some accumulations  ranged from 6 to 9 inches in Green River to Rock Springs. 10 to 15 inches fell around Lander. Thermopolis had 7 to 8 inches. Riverton had 6 to 8 inches of snow. Casper saw 1 to 3 inches only as the storm gave them a glancing blow. Click here for a complete listing of snowfall totals as of 750 PM Thursday night.

As for the northern and central mountains, widespread snowfall totals of 8 to 14 inches have been estimated from SNOTELs. Estimated totals in the mountains of southwest Wyoming have ranged from 2 to 6 inches.

Coldest Temperatures of the Season:

The fresh snow cover will limit daytime heating on Friday. High temperatures will only range from 25F to 35F Friday, but sunshine is expected which will help to melt snow & ice on road surfaces. A clearing sky combined with the fresh snow cover will combine to plunge temperatures to their lowest levels of the season. Low temperatures Saturday morning will range from 5F to 15F in most locations. The western valleys and the foothills around Cody will see slightly warmer readings.
