Summary | ForecastTravel Center | Monitoring & Reporting | Safety

SYNOPSIS:  A low pressure center will move slowly across the Great Basin and Central Rockies through Friday.  Widespread moderate to heavier precipitation will shift east through the region by Friday morning.   Snow levels will continue to drop to between 5000 and 6000 feet through early Friday morning across central Wyoming with areas of significant snow in the central mountains. South Pass and Powder River Pass remain areas of main concern through tonight involving snowfall. This will result in hazardous driving conditions and possible road closures due to snow amounts.

IMPACTS: Travel could be hampered over the mountain passes, especially South Pass and Powder River Pass.  Small creeks & streams, along with some larger rivers could see noticeable rises by the end of the week.  Young livestock may be affected by the colder temperatures, wet weather, and brisk north wind of 10-20 mph in Johnson and Natrona counties.
