SYNOPSIS:

A strong cold front will move across west and central this morning. This front will bring more snow to the western mountains and valleys with moderate to locally heavy snow falling this morning.  Strong to high winds are also expected with this storm.  Sustained winds will be 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 65 mph across the mountains, and portions of central and southwest Wyoming.

 

IMPACTS:

  • Severely reduced visibility at times from snow and blowing snow.
  • Strong to possibly high wind gusts will create dangerous cross winds.  This includes I-80, I-90, I-25, and Wyoming Boulevard.

...Two-day Rainfall Totals from Across Western and Central Wyoming...

An area of low pressure wrapped moisture into the region Friday and
Saturday, with the heaviest rain generally falling late Friday
evening and night. Showers lingered Saturday, but amounts were less
than those observed over the previous 24 hours. The heaviest rain
fell along the Wind River Range in Fremont County and in the
Absaroka foothills of Park County. Locations in the eastern Bighorn
Basin and Johnson County saw the lowest rainfall totals. Following
are cooperative observer and CoCoRaHS two-day rainfall totals ending
Sunday morning.
