Active Weather Pattern for the West into the Plains

A strong Pacific storm continues to track across the Great Basin. Heavy snow is expected across the higher elevations and heavy rain across lower terrain. Strong gusty winds will make for additional hazards for travelers. These winds will bring increasing fire weather concerns for the southern High Plains. Climate

Showers and thunderstorms will become widespread across much of the region this morning, becoming more scattered in coverage during the afternoon.

High temperatures today will be tapered somewhat due to high rain chances. Look for daytime highs to range mostly from the middle 70s to the lower 80s.

As an upper level disturbance moves out of the region to the north and east, rain chances should diminish this evening across the Four State Region as well.
