Last Map Update: Fri, Sep 20, 2024 at 7:14:54 pm CDT

Four Day forecast into the upcoming weekend for Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Gulfport highlights highs generally in the low to mid 90's to upper 80's each day, lows in the 70's with no rain and partly cloudy skies.
There is a medium (50%) chance of tropical cyclone development over the western Caribbean or southern Gulf during the second half of next week. It is too soon to know if there will be any direct or indirect impacts to the local area. Please do NOT focus on any individual model forecasts for this system. Instead, follow and share information from official sources.
While monitoring the tropics over the coming days keep in mind that at 7-10 days out, we only have a general idea that something might develop or affect somewhere, or maybe not. What you should do at this point is monitor official forecasts, review your plans, and refresh your supplies if needed.
