A enhanced risk (level 3 out of 5) for severe weather is in place for late Thursday evening thru the overnight hours into early Friday for areas mainly north of I-10/12, especially SW MS. Main threats will be damaging straight line winds, although large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible. Make sure you stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings, especially that will wake you up!
Storms should enter the northern portions of the area around 11pm tonight and push east through 5am Friday morning. Areas north of I-10/12 have the highest likelihood of seeing strong/severe storms.
With severe weather primarily expected overnight, make sure you're prepared before you go to bed. Keep these tips in mind before you go to sleep.
