.DISCUSSION...

Rain-free weather is expected across northern Michigan through
Friday. Despite much cooler temperatures in the 40s and 50s today,
minimum RHs may still dip into the 30-40 percent range -- primarily
across portions of northeast lower near the Huron National Forest. A
dry airmass is expected to stay in place through the remainder of
the week, potentially supporting near-critical to critical minimum
RHs Thursday and Friday afternoon across interior areas. Otherwise,
primarily north-northwest 20 ft winds between 5-10 mph are expected
today with gusts to 15-25 mph at times through this afternoon.

.DISCUSSION...
MIZ001-003-211200-

With low pressure into Quebec and moving away, high pressure over
the Dakotas will slowly move over the region, leading to multiple
days characterized by a lack of precipitation, afternoon RHs falling
significantly, and mostly low winds.

For today, northwest winds of 5-10 mph in the west and up to 15 mph
in the east (with gusts up to 15 mph in the west and up to 20 mph in
the east) will gradually weaken and become more variable in
direction. Owing to cooler temperatures near the Great Lakes (highs
in the mid 40s to low 50s), the lowest RHs will be confined to the
interior west where highs reaching near 60 will allow RHs to fall
near 30%.

Thursday, high temperatures in the upper 50s to upper 60s will
increase the spread of minimum RHs around 30% to include the
interior of the central and east as well as the west, though the
west will see RHs into the 20s percent range. Winds will be mostly
out of the south or southeast at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
