.DISCUSSION...Showers off to our southwest are expected to blossom
over the next several hours with rain spreading from southwest to
northeast across northern lower Michigan this morning. Steadiest
rain continues through mid-afternoon, becoming more showery/drizzly
at times through this evening. High temps today some 10-15 degrees
below normal -- largely ranging from the mid-40s to near 50 degrees.
Southeast winds this morning turn more northeasterly through the
afternoon, a touch on the breezy side. Winds relax and back
northwesterly tonight.

Some low clouds and a few showers may linger on Friday. No RH
concerns anticipated today or Friday.

.DISCUSSION:
MIZ001-003-020915-

After a dry start, light rain works northward into the UP from
mid-morning onwards, with the best chances for rain during the
daytime hours across the eastern UP. There, rainfall totals peak
at around a quarter inch with lighter totals to the west.
Meanwhile, southerly winds remain light with relative humidity
only falling back as far as the lower 40% range in the western UP
this afternoon. Another batch of rain sweeps through from west to
east late tonight through Friday. A widespread tenth to quarter
inch of rain is expected, but higher totals up to a half inch is
possible in the western UP. Winds shifting over to the NW come in
slightly higher Friday, gusting up to 15-20mph during the
afternoon hours, but widespread rain will limit fire weather
concerns.
