.DISCUSSION...Deepening moisture ahead of a slow moving front will
bring increasing shower and thunderstorm chances to the area,
especially this afternoon into Thursday morning. Some areas could
receive some respectable rain totals by later Thursday, with
isolated amounts in excess of an inch possible. That increasing
moisture will keep afternoon relative humidity values mostly
elevated despite well above normal temperatures today, although
could see some locations across northeast lower Michigan dip below
40 percent. Elevated moisture expected tonight and Thursday. Rain-
free weather returns Friday through much of the weekend. Rather
aggressive mixing out of low level moisture will likely result in
sub 40 percent RH values each afternoon Friday through the weekend.
Other than perhaps some gusty winds with any thunderstorm activity
today through Thursday, just not seeing any evidence of any
significant wind concerns for the next several days.

.DISCUSSION...
MIZ001-003-081200-

A moist airmass will not only keep chances of precipitation in the
forecast but will also keep RHs in check the next couple of days.
For today, scattered showers and thunderstorms will bring chances of
rain and thunder especially this afternoon along the Great Lakes
lake breezes. RHs will broadly be above 50 percent except for as low
as 40 percent in the far east. Winds will generally be light and
variable today. For Wednesday, more widespread showers and
thunderstorms overspread the UP with continued light and variable
winds, with RHs remaining above 70 percent.
