Pleasant weather is in store for northern Michigan for the first Friday evening of the 2026 high school football season. Temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s around kickoff time look to cool several degrees by late evening as light winds go calm around sunset.
Rain showers are expected to move back into northern Michigan later Saturday afternoon with the best chances for showers and locally heavy rainfall coming on Sunday. Warming temperatures are also on the horizon early next week as highs climb back into the mid to upper 80s for most areas by the start of September.
