Fire Weather Concerns in the Southern Plains and Southeast; Thunderstorms in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic

Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions will continue across portions of the Southern Plains and Southeast today due to gusty winds and low humidity. Overview

Scattered thunderstorms erupted by mid afternoon on July 13, 2015. The storms quickly grew, several becoming strong to severe producing large hail, damaging wind, and one brief tornado. Very heavy rainfall also accompanied the storms. Most of the storms were confined to western Wisconsin and in the 3 to 8 pm time frame.
