2022 Year in Review
January started out with snowfall across northern counties with more snow falling a couple weeks later. February featured several warm periods with tornado events on the 3rd and 17th. One EF-2 tornado on February 3 resulted in a fatality. March featured yet another accumulating snowfall event across northern parts of Central Alabama as well as a flash flooding event on March 17. March 30 featured another significant tornado outbreak, with 12 tornadoes. One EF-3 tornado struck parts of Perry and Bibb counties. April featured a couple more tornado outbreaks. A significant flash flooding event occurred in early June, with several inches of rain across the Birmingham metro area. A fall tornado outbreak at the end of November resulted in several tornadoes and two fatalities.
