Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and
Northern New York
National Weather Service Burlington VT
317 AM EST Fri Nov 9 2018

...Final Routine Fire Weather Planning Forecast for 2018...

.DISCUSSION...
A period of dry weather this morning will come to an end this afternoon
as a potent system tracks toward the region. By mid-afternoon, snow and
rain will overspread much of the North Country. Gusty southeasterly
winds will also accompany the precipitation by this evening with many
locations gusting in the 20 to 30 mph range. Both the gusty winds and
precipitation will begin to taper off after midnight. Scattered snow
showers are possible on Saturday, especially over North New York where
some lake effect snowfall will be possible. Winds will become gusty again
Saturday afternoon from the southwest at 25 to 40 mph.

Although this is the last fire weather planning forecast for 2018, spot
forecasts can always be requested at weather.gov/spot.
