The high temperature averages 54F degrees and the low 39F degrees on Halloween. The greatest Halloween snow occurred back in 1917 when 4.0 inches fell on the 31st, and a storm total through the beginning of November 1st totaled 7.8 inches. A strong cold front pushed across Buffalo during the evening hours of Halloween in 2019. Strong wind gusts to 59 mph downed many trees, created numerous power outages and brought a daily record precipitation event.
