1963 A thunder squall skipped across Wyoming and Livingston counties leaving damaged homes and barns, dead cattle, and downed wires and trees. The 1.11 inches of rain recorded at the Buffalo airport was the heaviest of the month for a 24-hour period. 2002 An isolated severe thunderstorm crossed Erie county during the early morning hours and produced 3/4" hail in Cheektowaga.
