MAY 21

1993

Lightning struck a house in Lewiston, Niagara county, and tore through the roof and second floor of the structure. Walls and windows were shattered. Pieces of siding, gutters, and glass were strewn nearby. Roofing and shingles were heaves as if there had been an explosion. The floor of the upstairs bedroom fell into the bedroom below. Insulation and belongings were scattered throughout the rooms and a wall leading upstairs was ripped apart. No one was injured and there was no fire.
