Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall in the Midwest and Desert Southwest; Mid-Summer Heat Continues

Severe thunderstorm and heavy rainfall are possible in the Midwest into the Central Appalachians and the Desert Southwest early this week. Storms are also expected in parts of the northern Plains today. Fire weather and air quality concerns will persist across portions of the West. The 30-year normals are updated once every 10 years by the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). Some of the popular variables calculated include: temperature, precipitation and snowfall that are listed here for our primary climate stations of Buffalo, Rochester and Watertown. The data displayed here is from NCEI which is the official source of climate normals.
